The Toby Center logo was inspired by the moving, original painting donated to the Center by Dr. Richard and Gina Sauber of Boca Raton, FL. Titled “The Family”, the painting was created by Dr. Sauber’s mother as part of a series of work inspired by the Holocaust and its destructive impact upon so many millions of families.

Dr. Roseman has known Dr. Sauber, an internationally respected forensic psychologist, specialist in parental alienation since 1998. Dr. Sauber editor of the International Handbook on Parental Alienation Syndrome and a noted authority on issues affecting children and parental affection, brainwashing and divorce.

Said Dr. Sauber, “The Toby Center’s current logo is an honor to both mothers, both compassionate, both concerned about the status of parents, children and families.” Dr. Roseman selected this particular piece because “of the dissonance between the outstretched arms, the move away from the family’s center, yet the innate, unspoken need to remain connected to each other.” It is this philosophy, that children do need both parents in order to best thrive emotionally, psychologically, physically, spiritually and in everyday connections with many family, friends, and others individuals.
