The Toby's Kids Scholarship Foundation

Named for Dr. Roseman’s mother, Toby Lundy Roseman, and gives additional honor to David L. Levy, Esq., co-founder of the Children’s Rights Council and considered the “King of Joint Custody” by Dr. Richard Sauber, forensic psychologist and former colleague of Dr. Richard Gardner.  Since 1985, David Levy (seated, far right with Ellen Levy) testified internationally on the benefits to joint custody (shared parenting) and how best legislatures can adopt shared parenting and be sensitive to alienating behaviors of one parent.

Toby’s Kids Scholarship Fund proceeds are specifically offered to offset the fees which parents are unable to afford in order to see their children in supervised visitation, engage in individual, family and reunification therapy, and to obtain co-parenting planning and mediation. Additionally, these funds are used to provide registration fees and tuition for parenting education, coaching and support groups for both parents and children offered by Preserving Family Ties Media, LLC and its affiliates as well as other community resources.

"Together their testimony and national efforts, through the Children’s Rights Council, brought joint custody to more than 30 states, in addition to creating the largest, most successful network of supervised visitation locations in the U.S."

A Word From Ellen Levy

My late husband, David L. Levy, co-founder and former President of the Children’s Rights Council, devoted the last three decades of his life to the cause of shared parenting of children. He co-founded the Children’s Rights Council in 1985 to promote public policy, legislation and raise awareness of children’s continuing need for both parents and grandparents after separation or divorce.

When he met Dr. Mark Roseman, Assistant Director for Child Access Services, nearly two decades ago, together they initiated in Maryland the hands-on component of their work with the creation of exchange and supervised visitation centers.

Dr. Roseman continued the work in Connecticut and Florida culminating in the creation of the Toby Center for Family Transitions. As Dr. Roseman and colleagues develop the Toby’s Kids Scholarship Fund may the compassion and love of David for children give you strength. Thank you.
