Murder in Oklahoma during Supervised Visitation

Dear Colleagues,

A mother was brought her infant child for a supervised visit, in mother’s home.

Minutes later, the mother killed each of her three children.

Then she killed herself.

The Toby Center does not permit that supervised visitation take place at the client’s home.  All  our visitations – by protocol – follow the rules of the Clearinghouse on Supervised Visitation based at Florida State University, and the Guidelines for Supervised Visitation provided by the Supreme Court of Florida.

Can murders be prevented?

Can child abductions be prevented?

No, not all.

But, with training and vigilance, with responsible efforts to follow these protocols then intervention, if not prevention will happen nearly all the time.

The Toby Center has an unblemished record since our founding in 2010.

If your community can benefit from the Toby Center program,
